Okay, so.
I live in Australia, k. And about a month ago, I bought the HipTop slide (which is basically the same as a sidekick).
Only problem is when I got the phone, I noticed it only had MSN and Yahoo!. I went back to the Telstra shop, and the guy said that there's some way of getting AOL AIM IM on it, but he didn't explain how.
Any advice/help?

it has a scratch down the middle that doesn't affect the visibility but this means I'll probably let it go for cheap.

Is anybody unable to get to mobile facebook - m.facebook.com - from their sk? I keep getting "browser cannot display page" when I try to go there on my sk3.

would anyone be interested in buying a like new sidekick 2? when i say like new, i mean it looks and works BRAND NEW. it was only used for about a week before i got a sidekick 3, and it was an insurance replacement which came sealed in the original sidekick 2 box. theres no scratches, dings, cracks, etc on the screen or phone itself. i tried to sell it on ebay but the buyer deadbeated me :\ it sold for $127.50 (before shipping charges) on there, but i'll definitely take offers cause i just want it gone since i need money & its not being used. it doesn't come with a SIM card, but it does come with every other original accesory it came with (charger, manuals, headset, case). i have pics so if you're interested, please feel free to comment or email me.

I recently upgraded to the Sidekick 3 and am looking to sell my Sidekick 2. It is in good condition (only minor surface scuffs and dings ... I've owned it for a few years). I purchased it new. With the Sidekick 2, I can include a wall charger (and vehicle, if needed), carrying case, wired headset, owner's manual, and new SIM card.
I'm hoping to sell it for around 100$ US.
I am in the process of ordering a new keypad for it, so that will be shiny and new. :) Then it will be ready for a new home. Anyone interested?

I've gotten a new phone and I'd like to give my SK2 a good home. For $70 or best offer, you will get one T-mobile sidekick2 and one wall charger. No extra charge for shipping.
A note about condition: I've had this sk2 for a while, it has minimal surface scratches and dings and the paint is rubbed off in a couple places. As far as I can tell it works perfectly well, the keyboard is still pretty stiff, and all portions of the camera work great.

I sat on my SK2 and the screen broke. Oops. Well, perfect opportunity to upgrade to the SK3, right? So I went to the store and got one. When I turned it on, I got a message saying that any applications that had not been downloaded from an SK3 would not automatically update onto my new device. I asked the guy who sold it if I would have to pay for them again, and he said no.
When I went into the Download Fun catalog, everything had prices listed. So I called up Customer Care, and she said that the SK2 and SK3 software wasn't compatible, and yes you do have to pay again.
Is this typical? Am I crazy for thinking that this is a ripoff? Is there any way I can get them to knock the charges off my bill if I do download any applications? I had probably $50 in applications and games; I just spent $300 on the phone, do I seriously have to pay for the applications again?

Has anybody got Sudoku Puzzler Vol. 2 from the catalog? Can you input your own games, copied from a newspaper? That feature is mentioned in Sudoku Puzzler Vol. 1's description, but not Vol. 2 - thanks in advance for the help!

turned out she was lying and took my money
i told paypal and they're going to try and get me my money back
